Semi-rural Buccan Ideal for Solar Power About 20 miles south of Brisbane and about 5 miles from the center of Logan City lies Buccan, a semi-rural suburb. It is a locality of Logan city and is the focus of this study to determine the feasibility of solar power in Buccan. Buccan is bordered by Logan Reserve, Waterford, Holmview, Bahrs Scrub among others. The Eastern border of this locality runs along the Logan River for its entirety. Buccan houses the Buccan Conservation Reserve, which hosts many native species and is maintained and managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Bethania is the subject for our study on the feasibility of solar power in the suburb, Location – Bethania is about 20 miles Southeast of Brisbane central business district. The Beenleigh railway line, which eventually runs to the Goldcoast line, has a station in this locality. The northern western and eastern boundaries of this locality entirely run on the Logan River. Location – A suburb with a population of over 7500 individuals, Boronia Heights is situated about 6 miles south west of Logan City and about 18 miles south from Brisbane GPO. The western and northern sides of this suburb are completely bordered by the neighboring area of Greenbank. Carbrook is situated about 8 miles to south east of Logan City. From Brisbane the distance is about 23 miles to the south. Carbrook is primarily acreage area dotted with nature reserves and conservation parks all around. The Carbrook wetlands conservation park 1 is contained within the center of this locality. The Coal Mining Past and the Solar Powered Future of Walloon   A suburb of the City of Ipswich, Walloon lies about 5 miles from the city center. At 33 miles from the Brisbane Central Business District, Walloon is a fairly well settled suburb. This place was named after inhabitants of Belgium known as the Walloons who were a Romanic language speaking people. The Cunningham highway runs almost through the middle of this highway for the entire length of the suburb. It is bordered by Amberley, Purga, Thagoona, Mudtapilly, Jeebropilly and Ebenezer. Tallegalla, a vast open country for solar power   A land of acreage and large wide and spread farms, Tallegalla, is one of the distant localities of the city of Ipswich. The potential for solar power in Tallegalla is discussion of this study. Location – Tallegalla is situated about 16 miles from the city of Ipswich and about 40 miles from Brisbane central business district. Talegalla has borders with the localities of Marburg, Ashwell, Rosewood, Minden, Mount Marrow and Woolshed.
